Welcome to the pond

Song of the day, week, whatever: "Just like Heaven" by the Cure. Things to pay attention to when you are listening to it: a) the chord progressions. Amazing! This stuff goes all over the scale and back, very hard to do, I'm sure. b) the different number of instruments used on the track. Keyboards, lots of guitars, pianos. That's good music. c) the lyrics, which of course are always good from groups such as this.

In college, you always seem to forget how much WORK reading is, until you start doing it again. Especially when it's about genetics and other exciting topics. Well, at least I'm not going to have to do LAW reading, yuck!

I think maybe I'll attempt a poem this weekend. I hope it's good, and I hope someone enjoys it.
