Welcome to the pond

Well, if nothing else, Incubus songs are catchy and get stuck in your head! I woke up this morning with some song from "Morning View" in my head, and ever since I've had either an Incubus or Buckley song stuck up there. I'm amazed at my ability to memorize most of the lyrics to a song, which I suppose happens when you listen to them over and over like I do.

In some college classes, there's always that one kid who is sort of a smartass, always arguing points with the professor and basically giving the class a lecture of his or her own. Well, I've got one of those types of people in my economics discussion section. Well, it's more like a discussion between him and the TA. I'm glad he's enthusiastic about the class, but it does get a bit annoying after a while! Now don't get me wrong; unlike the "older student who engages in discussion with the prof because he/she knows more than the rest of us and is there for the sake of learning," the type of student we encountered today is usually in smartass mode, trying to prove that he/she knows the answer to every question. They also love to take away the glory from the poor TA or prof. Gonna be a long ride on Friday afternoons from here on out.
