The Day After

I hope you all had a good Christmas! I know I did!

From my parents, I got Return of the King Extended Edition on DVD, The Finn Brothers "Everyone Is Here" on CD, and Gillian Welch "Time (The Revelator) on CD, two Ellen Degeneres books, shirts, and a new Sonicare electric toothbrush! I gave them a DVD of "Cast Away" which they love, and I got my sister a book about Bob Marley, which she loves.

Later on we went to my aunt's house, and had a great day of eating and opening gifts. My grandparents gave me a book about Jeff Buckley, Los Lonely Boys' special edition CD, and some t-shirts. My niece got to stop by in the evening and had lots of attention from all my relatives.

My favorite moment from Christmas, though, was when we went to my brother's house in the morning to have him and his girlfriend open their gifts. His girlfriend K got to come home for a couple days for Christmas, and she comes home for good on Friday. It was so awesome seeing her out of the hospital bed. She was very lively and a little talkative and generally happy. Seeing her doing so well really made Christmas special for me. I gave her an herbal heat wrap which she loves, and my brother got a cooler. My grandparents gave them a new microwave! We had a pretty good time there and it was nice to have K home for at least a little while.

That was my Christmas, and it was a good one!! I hope yours was good as well.
