Listen close. Can you hear it? I can. It's the sound of holier-than-thou indie rock-types complaining about Franz Ferdinand "selling out" because their hit song "Take Me Out" is now on the Sony PSP commercial. If no one has complained yet, then I'm sure they will start soon. Gimme a break people. If Franz Ferdinand wants to let a company use their song in a commercial, they have a right to do so. "Take Me Out" actually makes the commercial all the more fun to watch. Music is for enjoyment, so let's enjoy it whether it's coming from our CD players or our televisions.

A person can whine and moan all they want if a band they like "sells out," but the band is the one making the money! So I say the band wins. As long as they stay true to the music, the fans and themselves, I don't care how much money a band makes.
