Welcome to the pond

I'm back again, with a Monday Music Mambo:

1. What did you get for Christmas? Anything musical?

I got a few musical things this year. It wouldn't be a Christmas for me without anything musical. I got the CDs "Rainy Day Music" by The Jayhawks, "This Year's Model" by Elvis Costello, and "Band Of Gypsys" by Jimi Hendrix. I also got Room Full Of Mirrors, the latest biography of Hendrix, and the Central Park concert DVD by Dave Matthews Band. Good stuff!

2. Which of your favorite bands or artists do you think should record a Christmas album (or perhaps just a few songs)?

He's gone now, but I would have loved to see what Jeff Buckley could do to some traditional Christmas carols.

3. How much music did you buy in the past year? Or if you download, how many songs do you think you downloaded?

I bought 33 albums, and that's now up to 36 after Christmas. If I get the Coldplay CD I want this week, the total will be 37. That's a lot!
