Stupid commercials I've seen on TV lately:

1) The Burger King ad for their new Cheesy Bacon Angus Burger. It involves their Dr. Angus character and a woman in a shiny dress. The ad goes something like this:

Woman (after taking bite of burger): "Wow, I feel cheesy!"
Dr. Angus: "You are cheesy!"
Woman: "No, you're cheesy!"

Who writes this stuff?? Who?? This ad would have been so much better if they had just kept the woman eating the burger and left Dr. Angus out of it.

2) The ad for two-for-one V-Cast (I think that's the brand) cell phones. This involves a guy standing on a street corner, holding up phones and singing "Urgent" by Foreigner. At least I think that's what the song is called. I'm not a Foreigner expert. Anyway, the guy is singing HORRIBLY! I mean really, really badly. I don't think they're going to sell many phones if their ad makes people want to RIP THEIR EARS OFF three seconds into it! I thought the point of advertising is to make the product attractive?

All this horrible nonsense makes me wanna go to Burger King and get one of those Cheesy Bacon burgers. Or, on the other hand, maybe I'll just stick with my usual Double Cheeseburger. Why mess with success?

Sometimes it's good to make a terrible commercial because you remember the product better than just an average commercial. I must agree with you on the Burger King commercial, it is ridiculous to say the least.

I must admit that ALL of the BK commercials scare me, but my pet peeve is Pepsi commercials. They can't seem to make a commercial on their product's merits. All they do is say "We're better than Coke." How tacky and tasteless!
