I had quite an interesting afternoon! It wasn't all good or all bad, but it was definitely an adventure.
I picked today to go out and get new music. When I woke up this morning, the weather was not good and just got worse as time went on. I had to go out in the cold, rainy, windy weather to get my new CDs (I'm very glad I chose to wear a sweatshirt along with my coat!) It isn't supposed to get any better as the week goes on, so I decided to go ahead and go out today as planned.
Once I arrived at the music store, things got even more interesting. I had originally planned to purchase Smashing Pumpkins' Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, but they didn't have it! Ok, no problem, I would just choose something else. As I checked each artist section for the CDs I wanted to get the most, I discovered that they didn't have ANY of them! No The Delivery Man by Elvis Costello. No Under The Table And Dreaming by Dave Matthews Band. Not even Get Behind Me Satan by The White Stripes! The selection was pretty horrible today. As good as the store is, they don't always have everything released by every artist.
I spent most of an hour browsing around in the different sections trying to figure out what I wanted to get. Thankfully, I brought "the list" of albums that I eventually want or need to buy. Most of them didn't sound like anything I wanted to get today. I eventually chose Blood and Chocolate by Elvis Costello and Lie To Me by Jonny Lang, which was on sale. I could have also purchased The Very Best Of Cream but I couldn't decide between that and Jonny Lang. I finally decided to get Lie To Me. I'll save Cream for another day.
After that, I just missed catching the bus and had to wait for a while in the storm outside. Now I'm home, and I'm about to pop in my new Elvis Costello CD. Next time I go to the music store, I will call first to see if they have what I want, and if they don't I'll have them order it for me!

Do you have EC's When I Was Cruel yet? That's another good one.
OK, they are all good.
Andrea
When I Was Cruel was my very first EC album! It was released on my birthday, actually.
