The record companies are almost losing another sale! Woohoo!

I'm totally addicted to the remixed version of Sarah McLachlan's song "Stupid." I've tried to find the song, but haven't been able to download it at all. So now the only option is to keep listening to the crappy Realaudio version on her homepage, or buy the "Bloom" remix album.

Guess what? Yes, that's right, "Bloom" is copy-protected! It's a Sony CD, which means it has that evil software on it. You see, if it did NOT have copy protection on it, I'd rush out next week and buy it, because I want that song so badly. Because it has copy protection, I'm not so sure now. I'll probably end up buying it, but not right away. Don't the record companies understand that consumers will be more likely to buy albums if they DON'T have stupid copy-protection software included? That's the second CD this year that I'm not buying because of that software. If I do buy it, I'll just listen on my portable player and DVD player. I much prefer listening to CDs on my computer, but I'll do what I have to do.

If anyone knows whether Sony is re-releasing Bloom without copy-protection, please let me know!

*update* My good buddy Jessica bought me this album for my birthday this year! That was very nice of her!
