TGIF! Is the year half over already? Can we slow things down, Mother Nature? Here's the Top Five On Friday:
Top 5 albums that cure the summertime blues....
1) Seed by the Afro Celts (or Afro Celt Sound System). This is a very summery album, in my opinion. It's full of upbeat tunes full of wonderful acoustic instruments.
2) Nickel Creek by Nickel Creek. Bluegrass can help you defeat the blues, and this is one of the best bluegrass albums of all time.
3) Led Zeppelin IV by Led Zeppelin. I don't know why, but this sounds like something good to put on during a hot summer day. Everyone loves at least one song from this album, and many people love all eight songs.
4) Crash by Dave Matthews Band. Somehow, DMB and summer are just meant for each other. Not all songs on this album are good for summer, but upbeat stuff like "Tripping Billies" will get you in a summer mood.
5) Looking Back Tomorrow: BeauSoleil Live by BeauSoleil. Summertime is outdoor concert time, and BeauSoleil always gives a great summer concert.
