Flickr Fun Saturday
In honor of the 4th of July on Tuesday, this week's FFS will focus on the tag "America." Let's see what photos people think represent America:
America is a land of hope, much like the hope brought by rainbows.
Here's a good shot of America's national animal.
America is a land of tall buildings. Very tall buildings.
America is a land of wide open spaces.
Americans just love to travel everywhere.
America is loved by those who fight to defend it.
Red, white and blue, stars and stripes.
America is a place where people ought to have the right to express their opinions, whatever those opinions may be.
Americans love to celebrate anything, especially if they can do it with a lot of light and noise.
America is a land of great natural beauty.
Americans love to eat, maybe too much.
America is a place of connections. Our highways, our internet, our phones, and our bridges all connect people for good and bad.
America is a place that sometimes rewards those who think outside the box.
America is a place both real and unreal, myth and home, intimidating and welcoming. Nowhere is this more apparent than New York City.
Most of all, America is a place where many cultures have come together as one. It's a constant struggle, but getting through that struggle is what makes America strong.
