Flickr Fun Saturday
This week, I'm taking you all on a photographic tour of my home state, Oregon!
We'll start at the logical starting point - the State Capitol in Salem. This is the only image of the Capitol I could find on the Flickrmap.
After your visit to the Capitol, have some fun at the Oregon State Fair.
Next, take a trip to our most famous landmark - Crater Lake.
Oregon borders the Pacific Ocean. One of the best things about our coast are the sand dunes.
Of course, the views toward the ocean aren't bad either.
Another famous landmark the Hecta Head Lighthouse. Here's a closer view of it.
McMinnville, Oregon is the current home of the famous, and very large, aeroplane the Spruce Goose.
Oregon is famous for its wineries. This one is near Dundee, Oregon (Salem/McMinnville area)
Corvallis is the home of Oregon State University.
Eugene is the home of the University of Oregon (my alma mater!)
Last, and certainly not least, is Portland, our largest city. It's a city full of rose gardens. Some of them are gardens full of people. Others are true rose gardens, full of beautiful red flowers that give Portland its nickname the Rose City.
