In The White Room, With Black Curtains, In The Station

The power company needed to turn off our electricity for several hours today, so I took advantage and went CD shopping.

I woke up with a sick stomach, which was going to mess with my plans for lunch at Carl's Jr., but I felt better by the time I got there. I had a Western Bacon Cheeseburger and one of their very large Medium sodas. Seriously, folks, I don't want to know what their large soda looks like. I prefer the Double Western Bacon, but I was only hungry enough for a single. I think the extra beef makes a difference in the burger-eating experience, if you have enough appetite for it.

After that, I went to CD World for some CD-buying. I had two discs on my wish list for today - "Wintersong" by Sarah McLachlan and a Santana greatest hits collection. The Santana disc used to be on sale, but now it's regular-price. Oh well, maybe it'll go on my Christmas list. I looked everywhere in the store for the new Sarah McLachlan disc, but after asking a worker there I found out that they won't be selling it until next week when they put out the holiday CDs! Hello, people, it's a new release! They should sell it anyway, holiday CD or not. I'll just buy it next week, because I'm going near there again.

What did I buy, you ask? "The Very Best Of Cream," which I've been wanting to get but never ended up buying until now. I'm listening to it now, and finally I won't have it taunting me whenever I go to CD World.

After I was done at CD World, I went to Fred Meyer next door to see if THEY had the new Sarah McLachlan album. Nope! They don't have it either. What gives? I'll just have to wait a bit for it, I suppose.

That was my day. It was pretty good, even though I didn't find what I wanted when shopping for new music.
