Random Things

1) I finally have a cell phone! Anyone who knows me will probably be very surprised by this development. I was going to wait on getting a phone until I get a decent-paying job, but my mom decided that the time is now. She gave me an older phone of hers and put me on her plan. She, my sister and I have 700 minutes per month to share. Care to guess who uses the most minutes? Shouldn't be too hard.

So, finally, I'm reachable. We'll just have to see how many people need to reach me.

2) Congratulations to Martin Scorcese on his Best Director win tonight at the Academy Awards! It's about darn time he won an Oscar. I see this win as a win for his entire canon, not just The Departed.

The movie also won Best Picture! It figures that the only Oscar-nominated movie I saw for this award season won the Best Picture. I thought it was a pretty good flick. It's a little gorier than what I'm used to, but I thought it was very funny too.

3) Last.fm has seriously upgraded its service, and one of the upgrades is the ability to make a personal playlist on your profile. I'm doing that as we speak. My profile can be found right here, so go check it out. Many of the songs are available for previewing too!
