Music seems to find me, even when I'm not looking for it.
Yesterday I was at a local silent auction/lunch benefit, and one of the items for auction was a CD by a group called Four Shillings Short. Just as I suspected, they are a Celtic group. I bid a couple times, and my last bid of $10 won the CD! Needless to say, I was quite excited about that. The albums is called Of Labour and Love and it's very good. It even includes a few songs with sitar!
Also, today I was at Fred Meyer looking at the music section. I wasn't intending to buy anything, but buy something I did. I found a copy of The Pretenders' Learning To Crawl. It contains three of my favorite Pretenders songs - "Middle Of The Road," "Back On The Chain Gang," and "My City Was Gone"! It was a complete impulse buy, but I think I'm allowed a few of those per year, don't you? I just had to have it because it has three of my favorite tracks on one album!
I'll be getting a few other albums on my birthday. I have a pretty good idea of what I'm going to get, but plans can always change.
