Top Five On Friday

Today's Top Five On Friday is really groovy!

Top 5 Psychedelic Songs

1) "Tales Of Brave Ulysses" by Cream. Wah-wah guitar and fantasy-filled lyrics make for a trippy experience.
2) "Tomorrow Never Knows" by The Beatles. All those effects! John's quasi-religious vocals! His vocals put through a leslie cabinet!
3) "1983 (A Merman I Should Turn To Be") by Jimi Hendrix Experience. Hendrix had many other great psychedelic songs, but this one has to be his most epic.
4) "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" by The Beatles. Whether intentional or not, the fact of the matter is the title of this song can be shortened to LSD. The lyrics make little sense, and that's pretty psychedelic as well.
5) "Dream Brother" by Jeff Buckley. I just wanted to include something that is not from the Summer Of Love to prove that the 60s wasn't the only decade with psychedelic songs.

Top 5 "Summer of Love" sayings

I really don't know any Summer of Love sayings other than the usual "groovy," "trippy," etc. I was not alive back then, and even though I live in Eugene, I don't know anyone who still talks that way. Sorry!
