Monday Music Mambo - 10/29/07

It's the Internet's Birthday! The Mambo celebrates:

Name a few of your favorite music websites.

Last.fm. Track your listening habits. Make a playlist. Listen to radio. Interact with other music fans. Get some free music. This site has it all!

All Music Guide. Do you need to know what tracks were on Bruce Springsteen's first album, or which artists recorded songs with "kiss" in the title? This is the place to go. Also, the reviews are fun to read - some songs have their own reviews!

Bright Blue Times: The Music of Elvis Costello. This is a wonderful, informative site for any Elvis Costello fan. The essays are intelligent and informative.

Youtube
. Of course, you can find all sorts of videos on this site, but I especially like the music clips. You can find music videos, live performances, TV spots, and more.

Pandora. Are you in the mood to listen to songs that sound like a particular artist or a particular song? This is the site for you! It's totally free, and I think it works pretty well. You set up radio stations by choosing a song or artist. Pandora will then play you songs that sound similar. Refine the station by interacting and adding more artists or songs. You can even listen to stations other people have created.

Piano Graphique. This site is partially in French, and can be a little confusing at first, but just play around with it. You will find musical 'games' that you control using your keyboard. It's fun, funky, and addictive.
