Top 5 artists you wish would put out new material soon and why.
1) Afro Celt Sound System, because they always make awesome albums. The rumor mill says they're looking to start recording again soon. Hopefully!
2) Natalie MacMaster. Her last album was Yours Truly in 2006. It's time for a new one. Also, I want to see what she'll do next. Her last release pushed her sound so far. Or maybe she'll go back to basics?
3) The Chieftains. Their last one was a live album in 2005! I realize they're not young anymore, but they should throw us fans a bone. May I suggest a "Chieftains-and-Scots" theme?

4) Carrie Brownstein of Sleater-Kinney. Solo album, Carrie? Pretty please? Don't you think it's time for a small break from the blogging and video-making?
5) Chateau Neuf Spelemannslag. I don't know if they're even together anymore. If they are, they should record again, because the world could use some more Norwegian folk-jazz.

Its amazing how long it is between albums. At least I can't complain about EC, he puts one out every year or two.
