Top Five On Friday - 5/15/09

Time for the Top Five!

Top 5 "Unique" voices

1) Elvis Costello. His voice isn't for everyone, but yet at the same time it's a good singing voice.

2) George Harrison. His voice wasn't the strongest, but it had a tender quality that could melt your heart.

3) Triona Ni Dhomhnaill. She doesn't have the typical Irish female voice; She has something much better.

4) Pete Townshend. Some may call him whiny, but his voice balances nicely against Roger Daltrey's wail.

5) Michael Doucet (of BeauSoleil). His voice takes some getting used to, but it's very good once you do. It's instantly recognizable if you're familiar with BeauSoleil's music.

Nice list this week, especially George Harrison. I think he got lost between John and Paul sometimes,

Yay for George whose voice was stronger than you're leading people to believe, he just didn't stand a chance with the Lennon/McCartney thing in the same band.
