Book Survey

Thanks to Andrea for passing this on to me:

Favorite Book Store:  Smith Family Bookstore.  They might not have the newest, prettiest books, but they make up for it in volume.  Most of the books are 50 percent off the listed price.  You can really find some treasures and get lost in book buying.  Also, I hate to admit it, but I enjoy shopping at Barnes and Noble or Waldenbooks on occasion, especially the bargain books.

What You Are Reading Now: Mostly magazines.  I'm also picking my way through the Beatles Anthology.  I started "How The Other Half Lives," but I'll pick that one up later.

Longest Book You've Read:  "The Beatles" by Bob Spitz was a beast.  So was "East of Eden" by Steinbeck.  One that felt longer than it was: "Call It Sleep" by Henry Roth.

Book That You've Read More Than 1 Time: Quite a few.  "Gretzky: An Autobiography" got quite a bit of use over the years.  I've read the first two "Lord Of The Rings" books twice.  I've also read "Wuthering Heights" a few times.

Favorite Non-Fiction Book
: Not counting photo books . . . "Blue Highways" by William Least-Heat Moon was a good one.  As was "Cash: An Autobiography" by Johnny Cash.

Where Do You Do Your Best Reading:  I do my best reading in a place where I can't lay down and fall asleep.  Unfortunately, the bed is where I do most of my reading, leading to the falling asleep problem.

Do You Discuss Your Books With Friends:  Sometimes I do.  It depends on whether they've read the book too.
