Top Five On Friday - 2/19/10

Here's the Top Five:

Top 5 songs you loved until they were overplayed.

1)  "Crazy In Love" by Beyonce.  The summer this song came out, you'd hear those opening horns at least once per hour on the radio or TV.  Eventually, those horns were my signal to turn to something else.

2)  "Whoomp! There It Is" by Tag Team.  This song came out when I was a teen, and my friends and I enjoyed it a lot.  Until, that is, I decided to do a video project with this song as the soundtrack.  By the time I was finished, I had heard enough.

3)  "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles.  I liked it a lot until they played it over and over on a commercial.

4)  "You Love It When It Rains" by Outerstar.  This one is my fault.  I listened to it so much I lost my initial excitement for it.

5)  Any version of "Hallelujah" that is not Jeff Buckley's.  I still like his version, but all others are just too much.  Let's give this song a rest, shall we?

"Any version of "Hallelujah" that is not Jeff Buckley's." Russ, you DO know that Leonard Cohen is the author and original singer of Hallelujah, don't you? It isn't like Jeff Buckley was either the first nor the best to sing that ditty... ;)

Ok, make it any version of Hallelujah that is not Leonard Cohen's or Jeff Buckley's.
