Bluegrass, bears and birthdays

First off, happy birthday to my mom!!

Second, I got new music today. I bought a couple CDs as gifts, one for my mom and another for a friend. I've finally earned a free CD, so I chose "Down The Old Plank Road" by The Chieftains with many famous bluegrass and country friends. I'm very happy with it, and I especially love the song "Molly Ban (Bawn)" with Alison Krauss. Alison's voice is just so gorgeous.

Third, last night I saw a commercial that really disturbed me. It was a Labbatt Beer commercial, and not only did it have a bear sitting at a restaurant talking and eating, but there was a woman DATING the bear! They were giving each other gifts. I don't know why a woman would date a bear instead of a human, but she must have her reasons. I hope that commercial doesn't lead young women to seek out bears to date, or things could get ugly.
