Let Me Pick Myself Up Off The Floor

Wow. Just, wow. Just when I thought things couldn't get any better for 2005 concert-wise, I read in the newspaper today that

THE CHIEFTAINS ARE COMING HERE IN JULY!!

Yes, those Chieftains. The Godfathers of Irish music. Living legends. If they do end up coming here (of course, tour plans can and often do change so nothing is for certain), I'll do anything I can to see them! Derek Bell recently passed away, and the other Chieftains aren't all that young anymore either. So, this may be my last and only chance to see them play live. Anyone reading this who knows anything about traditional Irish music knows how important this is.

So I may get to see Natalie MacMaster, BeauSoleil AND The Chieftains all in one year. Now all I need is for the Smashing Pumpkins to reunite and Jeff Buckley to come back from the grave, and all my music dreams will have come true.
