Hospital Visits and Friday Feasts
Tonight I, my mother and my sister went to see K (my bro's girlfriend) at the hospital. She's moved out of the ICU into a regular room. She wakes up quite a bit, and responds to questions most of the time by nodding, moving her eyebrow or raising her finger. She seems to be doing better, but she's got a long way to go until "normal." I'm so glad she's improving and staying strong. She just gave birth nearly a month ago, so it's sad that she's missing these special moments with her daughter. I'm sure her daughter is what's keeping her going right now.
It was so nice seeing her and having her know we're there. She held my hand for a while and it was definitely a special moment for me. I love her and I want her to get better!!
Now that I've updated you on K, here's this week's Friday's Feast:
Appetizer
Tell about a toy you remember from your childhood.
The toys I was probably most excited to get on Christmas when I was a kid were the original Nintendo system, the "Rapmaster" keyboard, and the talking Roger Rabbit doll. Yeah, I know what you're thinking.
Soup
If you could make one thing in the world absolutely free for everyone, what would it be?
I think I'd make food free for everyone.
Salad
Approximately how many times per day do you think about your significant other?
No significant other to think about! But I do think about my dearest friends every day.
Main Course
Name something you believe in 100%.
I believe 100% in the power of music.
Dessert
List 3 things you did this year that you would consider a "good deed."
I visited my future sister-in-law in the hospital today. I helped friends through crises they were having. I helped my family with things they needed me to do like chores and watching the dog while they were away.
