BeauSoleil fans rejoice!! The band is releasing a LIVE concert DVD called "Live From The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival" on January 25. I've always wondered if they'd ever put out a live DVD, and now they are doing so! My BeauSoleil dreams are almost complete: A new BeauSoleil CD (Gitane Cajun was released in September), a live BeauSoleil DVD, and I'm probably going to see them in concert again next month. Now all I need is to meet them and travel with them on tour and all my BeauSoleil fantasies will be fulfilled.

On Friday, I bought Alison Krauss and Union Station's new album "Lonely Runs Both Ways." As usual, the group does an outstanding job. Alison's vocals are beautiful as always, and the musicianship is superb. There are some really wonderful songs on it including "Restless" "Goodbye Is All We Have" "My Poor Old Heart" and "A Living Prayer." The more I listen to it, the more I love it.
