Over time, there are certain albums that I listen to more than others. These are albums that I seem to need to return to once in a while and use to refresh my musical spirit. Right now, "Are You Experienced?" by the Jimi Hendrix Experience is one of those albums. Each time I listen to it, it seems fresh and powerful and there's always something new to discover in the songs. After I'm done listening, nothing else seems good enough. "Are You Experienced?" is one of those albums that, for me, is unique and turns me on like nothing else can. I bought it just a few months ago, and already it's having this effect. I can only imagine what it was like to listen to it for the first time in the 1960s.
