Welcome to the pond

Slow times for the pond continue. I'll try not to let this place go silent too much like I used to. Wow, this is the beginning of my blog's fourth year (2002, 2003, 2004 and now 2005). Just nine months until I've blogged for three straight years.

Sandra Bullock, the actress from "Speed" and "Demolition Man," has donated one meeeee-lion dollars (muahahahaha!) to the South Asia tsunami relief efforts. Way to go Sandra! Now let's see which other celebs will do the same.

On Wednesday, at 8 PM on the PBS stations, a very interesting show will air. It's called "Do You Speak American?" and it is about the state of language in America today. I'm highly interested in language, and the differences and similarities of languages, so this program is of great interest to me. You should all watch it too, if you like.
