And the memes march on. Today, of course is Mind Hump day. The theme this week is Dress Your Pet. I don't believe in dressing pets, so I asked general questions about pets instead. I also included a couple questions for people who don't have pets.

1. How many pets do you have? What species? Ages?

I have three pets. Two male cats, Iggy and Harley. They're both almost 8 years old, and they're doing very well. We also have a dog named Chloe. She's female, almost three years old, and half shar-pei/half german shepherd.

2. Do you know anyone who has a creepy/odd pet, like a spider or a hog?

My buddy Jess lives in a house with a bunch of snakes and rats and the like as pets. And a chicken who thinks she's a cat. She makes my house seem quite boring by comparison.

3. What do pets mean to you?

Pets mean love to me. They could want to be free, and not cooped up inside some human's house, but they do it anyway. They form a true connection with you, and I think that's amazing because we're dealing with two completely different species. Nothing makes me happier than my pets wanting attention from me and showing me that I've gained their trust and affection. Also, pets don't have selfish motives or grudges or hate or do anything that humans do to one another. When they love you, they love you without any strings attatched.

For the folks without pets . . .

4. Forget dressing your pets, let's talk about dressing yourself! What are your favorite items of clothing in your closet? What do you just HAVE to be wearing when you leave the house?

I absolutely LOVE my Jimi Hendrix t-shirt. I really only wear it when I go somewhere where people will see it. I also love my nicer dress shirts. I'm not one for getting dressed up, but when I do, it makes me feel special. I also have some hockey jerseys, but I don't wear those much anymore. They're all way too big for me. I'm very fond of wearing hats when I'm out and about, unless I'm going somewhere special.

5. Think back when you were in high school. Are you proud of the way you dressed, or do you wish you could go back and change it all?

In high school I mostly wore jeans and t-shirts, same thing I wear now, so I don't think I was too bad. I did, however, wear a *gasp* fanny pack from middle school through college. I didn't really care what people thought of it, because it was functional. I think people just got used to it as part of what I looked like.
