A few things for me to talk about today:
- First, my condolences go out to the family of actor Chris Penn, who was found dead in his bedroom yesterday. I haven't seen many of Chris' movies, but it seems to me like he was a pretty cool guy. It's just too bad that he'll get more recognition after his death than he did before his death.
- One of the best hockey players ever, Mario Lemieux, announced his retirement yesterday. This wasn't unexpected, because Mario's health hasn't kept up with his desire to play. Hopefully he can still work with the team (more than just as an owner) because his experience as a player is very valuable. I wonder if he'll ever coach, like his good friend Wayne Gretzky is now with the Phoenix Coyotes. In any case, this can't be good for the Pittsburgh Penguins. Two of their stars, first Ziggy Palffy and now Lemieux, have retired this past month. Well, maybe they'll luck out again and get anothe first round draft pick.
- I'm not much of a football fan, but I am going to root for the Seattle Seahawks in this year's Super Bowl. The Pacific Northwest hasn't had too many championships, so a win for the Seahawks would be sweet indeed. I also admire the Steelers, so I'll actually be happy no matter how the game turns out.

I'm sad about Mario. He's a wonderful guy, its a shame his stellar career was plagued with health problems.
BTW...ONE FOR THE THUMB! Bettis needs to go home to Detroit with a ring. Seattle has to wait til next time.
