I'm very late with the Take Me Back Tuesday, but better late than never! Today we're looking back at the year we were 16. That would be 1996 for me.

Name three artists you were listening to at the age of 16.

Aaliyah, 2 Unlimited, Smashing Pumpkins (not actively, but they were around and that's the only other group I can think of).

Name three songs that remind you of being 16.

"Macarena" by Los Del Rio - this song was everywhere in 1996!
"1979" by Smashing Pumpkins. Billy Corgan's lullaby for the young and dangerous.
"Wannabe" by the Spice Girls. These chicks were everywhere in 1996 too.

Name three albums you played over and over and over at age 16.

"Hits Unlimited" by 2 Unlimited
"Aaliyah" by Aaliyah
"Jock Jams 3"

I didn't have too many CDs when I was 16. I mostly listened to whatever was on the radio. I now have over one hundred CDs! Most of them were bought after I started college.

Ah that first Spice Girls album, back when they were cute and kinda tolerable. And yes, I have that album, because of the song that you mentioned :)

My answers are over at LJ...

1. Pink Floyd, Nirvana, and Led Zeppelin
2. "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd, "Scenteless Apprentice" by Nirvana, "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" by Led Zeppelin
3. "In Utero" by Nirvana, "Dark Side of the Moon" by Pink Floyd and "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd

The age of 16 was only four years ago and things haven't changed too much besides the amount I listen to Led Zeppelin which has decreased drastically.
