We're talking about musical firsts on Take Me Back Tuesday:

First CD/Album Purchased: If I remember right, it was the Ghostbusters II Soundtrack. Hey, Run DMC did the theme song! Gotta have that, ya know!

First Concert: As far as I can remember - JPP, Vasen and Annbjorg Lien in Portland in 2000.

First Over 21 Show: I don't think I've been to a show that was 21 and over yet.

First Musical Obsession: MC Hammer

First Musical Crush: Paula Abdul. Back when she wasn't weird.

First Musical/Musical Movie: Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat, I think.

First Stereo: I think I had a portable dual-cassette deck stereo.

First Portable Device/Player: It was probably a Walkman cassette player. Maybe not the Walkman brand, though.

First Musical Format Owned (i.e. LP, Cassette, 8 Track, CD): Cassette. I was an 80s child.

First 45/CD Single Purchased: I don't think I've ever bought a CD single. I used to buy cassette singles, though, but there's no way I could remember the first one.

I think there's an Oingo Boingo song on the Ghostbusters 2 soundtrack :)

OK, I'll ask: did you have a pair of parachute pants? :)

*A* pair? I had many pairs! And wore them in public!

I hang my head in shame.

First Album - Aerosmith "Big Ones"
First Concert - Aerosmith in 2001
First Over 21 Show - I'm Only 20
First Musical Obsession - Nirvana
First Musical Crush - Gwen Stefanni
First Musical Movie - Pink Floyd The Wall I guess
First Portable Player - A Walkman cassette player, I don't remember the brand but it was cheap.
First Musical Format Owned - Cassette
First Single Purchased - Never bought a single, I figure why waste my money on two songs when I can save up a little more for a whole album.

Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat! I had a roommate once who played that over and over. I could have shot her! But even so, I couldn't hum you a single song from that show even if you payed me! (I think I blanked it from my mind!)I PROMISE never to hold it against you, Russ!
