It's You Go, Girl! day at the Wednesday Mind Hump.
Tell us about a woman who has done something you think is noteworthy. It could be a musician, a scientist, an athlete, or even your daughter.
I think Ellen DeGeneres has done some pretty noteworthy things in her lifetime thus far. She was very brave in coming out during a time when she had a fairly popular sitcom on network TV. She is now a few seasons into her daytime talk show, and she has done good things for many people on that show. She has given free trips to military wives and Hurricane Katrina victims, helped people get married, and raised more money that I can count for various causes.
And now she'll be hosting the Academy Awards! So, to you, Ellen DeGeneres, I say: You go, girl!
