What is the last book you read?
Midnight In The Garden Of Good and Evil by John Berendt
Who is your favorite character in the book?
Most people would say The Lady Chablis, but Chablis annoys me (at least, the way she's written. I don't know her personally, so I can't say if the same would be true in real life.) So I'll choose Joe Odom, who doesn't let electricity turn-offs, eviction, lawsuits or anything else keep him down.
Did you enjoy the book?
Yes I did. I've read it twice now, and I still can't believe it's essentially true. Savannah is one strange place!
Would you recommend the book to others?
I would most definitely recommend it. It's a good time between two covers.

I just stumbled upon your site and I know the Lady Chablis very well. The book is basically based on fact with great poetic justice taken...
Chablis (TLC) was portrayed 50/50
The book is quirky and John did a great job capturing Savannah -happy to answer any "insider questions" anyone might have
