I feel a rant coming on. Or maybe it's just the Top Five On Friday:
Top 5 "Ranting" songs (interpret as you see fit)
1) "It's The End Of The World As We Know It" by REM. It's not an angry rant, but it certainly qualifies.
2) "The Dirty Glass" by the Dropkick Murphys. Boy-and-girl ranting!
3) "Helena" by Nickel Creek. Starts out as pleading, then gets angrier and darker. It's sung from the perspective of a guy pleading with his mistress, asking her not to tell his girlfriend what's going on. Heavy stuff.
4) "The Asshole Song" by Denis Leary. No one rants like Denis. No one! (Well, OK, Lewis Black gives him a run for his money, but Lewis has never recorded a song.)
5) "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor. The ultimate ranting song!
