Monday Music Mambo (a day late)

I may not forget to WRITE the Monday Music Mambo, but sometimes I forget to fill it out myself!

1. What's your favorite album-opening song?

It's gotta be "Baba O'Riley" from Who's Next by The Who.

2. What's your favorite album-closing song?

After a little thought, I'm choosing two Beatles tunes: "Tomorrow Never Knows" from Revolver and "Her Majesty" from Abbey Road. Both great songs, one simple and the other complex.

3. What's your favorite one-two-three punch of album-opening singles?

I absolutely love "Mojo Pin," "Grace" and "Last Goodbye" by Jeff Buckley from his debut album Grace. What a way to start an album!

4. How many songs do you think an album should have?

I think 12-14 songs is a good number. Any shorter and I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Any longer and it's too long.
