Just make it work

Coldplay is a really great band. Their website/webmasters/servers, on the other hand, need some major improvement.

Today they are allowing folks to download a brand new song called "Death Will Never Conquer." I'm trying to download the thing, but it's stuck and won't finish downloading. I have no idea if it will actually finish or not. Yes, I could quit and try again, but what if their website won't allow that?

Something similar happened when I tried to download their single "Violet Hill" earlier this year. I submitted my email and information, but the email arrived several days later. By that time, I had already heard the thing on Myspace and just deleted the email. Why make a big deal of it if it's not exclusive?

This is my second negative experience with Coldplay.com. I'm not happy.

*Update* Just tried again. Download still stops before completion. There has to be a better way than this.

*Another update* Finally, after three tries, I have it downloaded. I understand that sometimes technology does not want to play nice, but when I go to a website for whatever reason, I just want the technology to work. That's what this post's title means. I don't want to bother trying and re-trying to get a song downloaded. I just want the bloody thing to download without any more effort on my part. I shouldn't be wondering if something is going to finish downloading or what will happen if I cancel the download and try again.

As for the song itself? It sounds like a Ray Charles song. Chris Martin sounds like he's imitating Ray Charles. It's a nice little piece, perhaps a good hidden track, but not really worthy as a single track.
