Movie trailers will never be the same

It is with great sadness that I report the recent death of Don LaFontaine, the master of the movie trailer voice.

I never knew the guy existed until I saw the Geico commercial in which he appeared. It blew my mind that there was an actual person with that booming voice! I learned more about him and become a bit of a fan. Each time I saw a movie trailer, I'd try to figure out if it was Don's voice narrating.
