Top Five On Friday - 6/19/09

It's the Top Five!

Top 5 songs you'd be happy to never hear again.

I'm going to make this interesting. I'm going to pick songs from artists I like, and I'm not going to use any of the songs I usually choose.

1) "The Long and Winding Road" by The Beatles. I'd like to send this song down a long and winding road to oblivion.

2) "Your Flesh Is So Nice" by Jeff Buckley. Ok, it's a demo. But, seriously, this from the same dude who made Grace?

3) "Nu Cead Againn Dul Abhaile/We Cannot Go Home Again" by Afro Celt Sound System. The vocals here don't sound pleasant to my ears. Sorry, Afro Celts!

4) "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix. Cmon, it's not that great.

5) "Chemistry Class" by Elvis Costello and the Attractions. The sore thumb on an album full of goodies.

I've never heard of any of those except for the one by The Beatles. I'm making notes to avoid them now though.

You should definitely not avoid the artists, because they're all good. You may even want to check out the songs. You may like them better than I do.

I agree with That Beatles tune. I myself would put most of North on my EC don't want to hear list.
