Top Five On Friday - 12/11/09

Christmas is getting nearer, and the Top Five is starting the celebration:

1)  Silent Night.  It's a classic, and it's simply beautiful.  It takes a skillful singer to really do it justice.
2)  Carol Of The Bells.  I like how complicated it is and how dramatic it can get.
3)  O Holy Night.  The melody is insanely gorgeous and easy on the ears. 
4)  Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas.  Ok, it's not traditional, but it's still a classic.  I like how it isn't all about buying and being joyful.  It's reminder that Christmases are not always perfect and life isn't always fair.  It's also about hope, which is also part of the season.  Also, like the rest of the songs on my list, it's beautiful.
