Not only did I buy Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland yesterday, but I also bought the Classic Albums Electric Ladyland DVD. I saw it near the counter with other music DVDs, and I figured I might as well get it while I was there.

It's a really cool DVD! It has information about most of the songs on the album, interviews with band members and managers and such, and lots of cool vintage footage of the Experience touring and performing. There's a trippy music video to "Gypsy Eyes" and road footage shot by Noel Redding. It's definitely a must for any Hendrix fan, just for the video footage. It's also cool to hear stories about how the songs were made, and under what conditions. For example, Voodoo Chile was recorded after an all-night jam session at a small NYC club. I would most certainly recommend this to all Hendrix fans as well as anyone who likes Electric Ladyland and wants to know more about the music.
