Little triggers

  • I'm on the hunt for a new camera. I've been doing a lot of research online. I can't seem to find a good point-and-shoot that completely fits my needs. It seems each one has something inconvenient, wrong, or flawed. What I really need is a DSLR, but I really cannot afford one. I just know I'd want to get several lenses if I had one. I'm trying to avoid Canon in my search, but they're near unavoidable. They make so many of the popular P&S cameras. I may have to get the best Canon I can. After research is done, I will consult the good folks at a local camera shop for more help.
  • I'm trying to take small steps toward better health. I'll try to eat more fruits and (select) veggies. This will be easier in the summer months when we get such delights as strawberries and corn on the cob. I'm also trying to eat nuts more often. They're a highly recommended snack, and I enjoy them and can eat them. I'm also going to try to take more walks. Today I went for a brisk walk. I'm going to start doing it for ten minutes, and then increase the time as the walking gets easier. I can walk at a normal pace forever, but at a brisk pace . . . not so much.
  • Lately I've been seeing a lot of INXS videos on VH1 Classic. Just a few, but more than usual. I've taken this as a sign from above, and I'm now listening to their greatest hits. I miss Michael Hutchence. He made music fun.
  • I finally finished reading Jane Eyre today. I read it last during high school, so I was fuzzy on the details of the book. I will never get used to the Victorian way of writing. Everything seems so formal and pretentious. Also, people definitely do not use parentheses when speaking (you see, I would never say this part of the sentence if I was speaking to you) and I do not know why Charlotte Bronte used them in dialogue. Now I get the fun chore of figuring out what to read next.
  • It's May already! Just two more months and 2008 is half over. Why does time go by so fast?
  • I think that's all for now. I believe I'm once again ready to blog frequently. If, when, I get a new camera, I'm sure I'll be posting photos. I hope you all enjoyed this rambling list of thoughts.
