Time for music

I did my monthly music-buying early this month. I'm going to be very busy in the next two weeks and I wanted to get it out of the way.

I intended to buy Duffy's Rockferry, and I did so. I had to look a bit for her album - it was actually in the display, not in the usual CD racks. I decided to look around a little bit after finding that, and I'm glad I did! I found a used copy of Billy Joel's An Innocent Man, which was second place on my to-buy list. Now I have what I want! Yes, I could have put the Duffy CD back, but I wanted to splurge a bit. Next month, I'll get just one, probably in the middle of the month, and then I'll wait until Christmas for the next music hit.

My verdict so far? Duffy's album is high quality, but needed more upbeat songs like "Mercy." A few of the songs are absolutely splendid, though.

Billy Joel's album is also quite excellent. His voice is strong, and the album is packed with hits. Unfortunately, my copy was made in the 1980s, so the sound quality isn't very high. It's awfully quiet. This one is my favorite, so far, of the two albums I bought because of the greater variety of sounds.
