Well folks, I'm back from the music store with some new goodies to listen to!!
First, let me tell you what I didn't get. I was hoping they'd still have a used copy of The Smashing Pumpkins' "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness," but someone has bought it. I don't really want to get it new when I can get it used (it goes for $22 new) so I'll buy it some other day. They did have a used copy of SP's "Adore" but I decided against it. I also didn't get k.d. lang's "Hymns of the 49th Parallel." Last time I was there, they had many copies of it in stock. Today they didn't have ANY copies, at least none that I found. I'll still get that, but I'll get it in a few days at another store where I'm sure it will be in stock.
What did I end up buying? I bought BeauSoleil's "La Danse de la Vie," "Jimi Hendrix: Blues" and The Rolling Stones' "Forty Licks." All of these discs were ones I planned to buy if they were in stock, so I got them. I also got Green Day's "American Idiot" in place of The Smashing Pumpkins. There were other discs I could have bought, but American Idiot was the one I wanted most.
I'm listening to Jimi Hendrix right now and quite enjoying it.
I left very early in the afternoon and stopped at the KFC across the street from the music store to eat lunch first. I had a coupon and wanted to use it. Before that, I tried to find an ATM so I could get enough cash to get all the CDs I wanted. The usual ATM I go to was out of order! Thankfully I found another ATM to use. I had a little scare when I couldn't find my ATM card!! Turns out I put it in another pocket of my wallet than I usually keep it. So all was well; I had my cash and my coupon and I was ready to eat and buy music!
I'll let you all know later how I like my new CDs. Not that I need to tell you because I know I'll enjoy them a lot! Happy Birthday to me!
