Welcome to the pond

Happy Friday everyone! The weekend is finally here, and so are the Friday memes. First up is the Top Five On Friday:

Top 5 songs you can't get out of your head (This could be catchy songs or just your top 5 songs of the moment)

1) "Put The Lime In The Coconut" by Sprung Monkey. This is a heavier version of the song that inspired the "You Put The Lime In The Coke, You Nut" jingle on the Coca Cola Lime commercials.

2) "Little Wing" by Stevie Ray Vaughan. This is one of the best guitar performances ever, in my opinion. It's Stevie's extended instrumental rendition of a classic Jimi Hendrix song.

3) "Up On Cripple Creek"

and

4) "The Weight," both by The Band. These tracks are my first introduction to the mostly-Canadian classic country/rock group called The Band. They are both very hard to get out of your head.

5) "She's A Rebel" by Green Day. This and every other song on "American Idiot" is extremely catchy and will stay in your head for weeks.


Ok, next up is the Friday Feast:

Appetizer - Name a store or restaurant you no longer visit because of a bad experience you had there.
There's a diner-chain here in Oregon called "Shari's" and I don't think I'd be too eager to go there again. Years ago, I had two bad experiences my first two times eating there. The first time, the steak was so fatty I couldn't even eat it. Maybe I should just stick to pie the next time I visit.

Soup - If you could own any building in existence, which one would you want?
Can I also own all the stuff that's in the building? In that case, I'd like to own the shopping center where I get most of my CDs. In addition to the CD store with a huge selection, there's a Schlotzky's and a Blockbuster. I'd have my food, my music and my movies all in one place.

Salad - What's your favorite commercial these days?
I haven't seen too many new ones that I'm keen on, but the Coca-Cola Lime commercial still gives me a giggle.

Main Course - When was the last time you felt guilty about spending money, and what was it you purchased?
I felt guilty when I spent $8 on a CD that I didn't really need last Friday. I guess I shouldn't feel too guilty because I got it cheap and I was going to eventually buy it anyway.

Dessert - Friday's Feast is going to be having it's First Birthday in 2 weeks. What should we do to celebrate?
Because it's the Friday's FEAST, you should celebrate with cake and ice cream for everyone!
