Now it's time to Mambo!

01. What one artist do you think has had the greatest impact on the music industry?

Wow, what a loaded question. I think the Beatles probably had one of the greatest impacts on music that came after them. The Beatles was one of the first "bands" where every member had an equal weight in the group. The name of the group was emphasized instead of the lead singer. It was never "John Lennon and The Beatles," just The Beatles. They also set the standard for musicians taking control of their music by writing, performing and experimenting on their own. Lastly, they were the prototype for the big blowup that leads to a band breakup and the aftermath of solo artists.

02. What two children's songs would you like to hear performed by what favorite artist or band?

I'd like to hear "Puff The Magic Dragon" by Ozzy Osbourne and maybe the Sesame Street theme song done by the Rolling Stones.

03. You are making a rockumentary. It's time for your press release so tell us ...(1) The artist you would choose. (2) The title of your rockumentary (3) What song would be played during the rolling of the credits.

The band: Afro Celts/Afro Celt Sound System. The title: "Invisible Borders, Musical Magic." The songs: Opening credits would probably be "Whirly Reel 1" from Volume 1 and closing credits would be "Onwards" from Volume 3.

04. It's been written that "if there's a rock & roll heaven then they've gotta have a helluva band" On the other side of the coin, name four artists who would be in a "hellish" themed concert.

Lead vocals would be Mick Jagger and lead guitar would definitely be Keith Richards. Drums would be Tommy Lee. Gene Simmons would be the bassist.

Wow. As always I'm impressed by your answers. You're right, #1 was a loaded question. It was fun to predict answers as well. So far we've had Elvis and the Beatles. You're right about the Beatles though -- they had an impact on the entire industry, not just the performance side.

I could probably comment on all your answers but it would run way too long and what I really mean to say simply is, "You dance divinely!" What a welcome addition you are to our "dance floor".

Mambo On!

hellish makes me think of maybe Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails and the singer from Type O Negative.
