I could do the Sunday Brunch meme today, but the questions are all geared toward people who are married or dating. I'm neither, so I don't really have any answers to the questions.
I've got no idea what to talk about today. I'm pretty much winging it at this point, so I apologize in advance for a lack of a point to this post.
I might get to go to the Chieftains concert next month. My mom said she and my dad would go with me, but of course we still need to get tickets. If there aren't any tickets in my possession, I don't consider it official that I'm going to any event. I'll keep you all updated on that as things develop.
Am I enjoying the Billy Corgan album? Yes, I am! As I said before, I don't love it as much as I love the Smashing Pumpkins material. However, I think the songs are growing on me. They're beautiful in spite of the musical crunchiness. The songs are starting to speak to me and tell me what they are, if that makes any sense. In conclusion, Thefutureembrace isn't my favorite album of all time, but it is enjoyable for what it is.
I've recently discovered that Winamp's collection of music videos now works for me. The other night, I spent an hour or so watching different videos and having a great time doing so. I only found this out when I clicked on the video section accidentally, instead of the music section, and played the videos. Finally I realized what I was doing and became happy because I can now watch videos without the evil buffering.
The Live 8 concerts are coming up. I'll try to watch some of it on TV, but probably not all of it. As for the show lineups, I think the place to be is going to be London. The heavy hitters are all playing there, including the Savers Of The World, U2. That should be a good performance.
Finally, let's see a picture!
I took this at the Tacoma, Washington harbor when I was visiting colleges in 1998.

You often surprise me with your eclectic musical tastes for such a "youngster."
I only have "Reel Music" by The Chieftains, but consider it one of my better "spur of the moment" purchases.
I do hope you manage to get tickets. Sort of wish I lived somewhere close to one of their concert dates... no such luck.
