Welcome to the pond

Ok, it's time for me to do a non-meme post.

I have been thinking of convincing my parents to sign us up for Netflix recently. We hardly ever go to the video store anymore and there are SO many movies that I need to see. However, I don't think I'll be doing that after all. I've read some online reviews of the service and it seems they're starting to slide a bit. Movie turnaround times are getting longer, even though you're paying the same amount each month. It's a serious rip-off if you're only getting a few movies each month. So I suppose I'll just have to get my mother to go to Hollywood Video more often.

A great band to check out is The Jayhawks. I've recently discovered them, and I think they are quite awesome. Think of a mix between Wilco and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, without Wilco's occasional weirdness. It's rock/folk/country style music, and very catchy and hummable.
