Time to Mambo!
Yessiree -- it's Mon-Mon-Monday which means it's time for the Monday Music Ma-Ma-Mambo! Doesn't that just cheer you up and make you feel like smiling? Well what a coinky-dink because it's also National Cheer-Up Day which reminds us to celebrate life by smiling today and everyday -- then, pass it on! Remember, life is mysterious -- don't be so serious. Get happy, smily like crazy, rev up your silly tude and let's dance!
01. What song(s) come to mind when you hear the words: smile, celebrate, friend
Smile - "Tripping Billies" by Dave Matthews Band
Celebrate - "Celebrate Good Times" by Kool and the Gang (I THINK that's the name of it).
Friend - "January Friend" by Goo Goo Dolls
02. Via singing telegram, what song(s) would you send to a specific family member, friend or fellow blogger to cheer them up?
I'd send a group of knights to my friend Beth to sing the "Knights Of The Round Table" song from Monty Python and the Holy Grail for her.
03. What artist or band would you nominate to be the poster boy(s) (or girl(s) for National Cheer-Up Day?
They're not around anymore, but who wouldn't cheer up with some Beatles tunes?
04. Is there one particular song that would make the perfect National Cheer Up anthem?
"Walking On Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves would make an excellent Cheer Up anthem.
05. Most of us love music, body and soul. On the soul note, what song never fails to cheer you up? On the body note, Is there a song that drives you out of your chair to shake, shake, shake your booty?
"Whirly Reel 3" by the Afro Celts always cheers up my soul. "Vieux Crowley" by BeauSoleil makes me shake a little something whenever I hear it.

lmao! i don't know, man. Walking on Sunshine is too sugary sweet for me. It's always left me feeling somewhat homicidal.
Yikes! I totally forgot that I mentioned Katrina and the Waves just a month and a half before Hurricane Katrina. They are NOT a cheer-up group anymore!
