Welcome to the pond

Today is another historic day for me. Yesterday I saw The Chieftains in concert, and today I bought my first Beatles album: Abbey Road. I got it used for $8, so I'm pretty happy about that. I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm sure I will enjoy it when I do. I know you all are proud of me.

I also bought a Chieftains album while I was at the record store. They were on sale, so I decided to get one. I chose "The Best Of The Chieftains," which is a collection of material they recorded on three albums in the 1970s. It's as close to traditional as you can get, and that's what I was aiming for with my purchase. There were a couple other albums that I wanted to choose from, but "The Best Of" won out.

The next time I go there and purchase something, I'll get a free CD! I know exactly what I'm getting too. I'll probably do that next month, or at least in September when the new Afro Celts comes out.
