I can't think of an original introduction to the Top Five On Friday! But here they are, all the same:

Top five "colorful" songs

1) "All The Colours" by The Finn Brothers
2) "Purple Haze" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience
3) "Blue Bonnets Over The Border" by Natalie MacMaster
4) "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Heart's Club Band" by The Beatles. Who doesn't see those wonderful costumes in their mind when they hear this one?
5) "Red House" by Jimi Hendrix. Jimi loved bright colors, you know. It shows in his songs and song titles, not to mention the clothes he wore.

As always, if there are songs I think of later, they'll be honorably mentioned and italicized.

What'd I tell ya? Honorable Mentions: "Yellow" by Coldplay; "Paint It Black" by the Rolling Stones; "Purple Rain" by Prince and the Revolution; "Pink" by Aerosmith; "Yellow Submarine" by The Beatles; "Fade To Black" by Metallica

Yay for Sgt Pepper, probably the most colorful of all album covers.
