Friday may have been through TWO hurricanes this year, but she's still mamboing! What a gal!

Today the Monday Music Mambo is dedicated to International Tool Day which honors folks who make their living using all kinds of tools. One and a two and a three -- let's Mambo.

01. What music tools (PC applications) do you use?

The music tool I use more than anything else is Winamp! It's such a cool program. You can listen to just about any music file on it, including your CDs! You can stream radio and videos from Winamp's awesome music services, and it's incredibly easy to make playlists. I especially love their playlist feature, which allows you to simply drag songs to the order you want them played. You can even change the way the music sounds using the equalizer!

Another cool thing about Winamp is the Media Library. That holds all of Winamp's streaming services, as well as any playlists you make. You can also add your files to it and be able to search through them just by typing any letter or keyword! No more searching through all your folders for that perfect song.

In addition to all that, you can download VERY cool skins as well as plugins and trippy visualizations to look at while your songs play!

02. What song(s) or lyrics can you name that mention tools?

I can't think of any songs, but I sure can think of bands! Tool (obviously!), MC Hammer, Nine Inch Nails, Alice In Chains. Gee, notice how all those hard rock bands like the tool-themed names?

03. Think of a tool. Now, using the letters of that tool list either artists names or song titles.

S - Something Corporate
C - Chantal Kreviazuk
R - Ray Charles
E - Eddie Van Halen
W - White Stripes

Great answers! I could only think of a couple songs, but no bands. Enjoyed your blog!
